With more than 95 successful installations, TAI is the insurance in-
dustry’s leading provider of life reinsurance reporting solutions. Just
introduced is our third generation release of the System—Version
3.0—featuring new source code, expanded field sizes and increased
processing functionality, including automated retention management
and advanced reporting capabilities.
System Solutions
◗ ◗ TAI MAINFRAME. The System is a reinsurance reporting solution
for life, critical illness, long-term care, disability income and annuity
products. It features fully-automated processing that facilitates inter-
nal analysis as well as external reporting to reinsurers. The System is
designed to handle assumed, ceded and retroceded business. It in-
terfaces with one or more policy administration systems for retention
management and automated continuation processing. Installation
includes automated conversion and validation of existing data, and
customized training and consultation.
◗ ◗ TAI INTRANET (.NET) This version has the functionality of our
mainframe application in a three-tier web environment featuring an
SQL database, requiring no special software to access the System
from any desktop connected to the server with the appropriate
security. As a browser-based system, it features all the tools and
page scrolling typical of these types of applications and minimizes
navigation. TAI partners with its clients so support is provided from
installation to on-going processing and system upgrades.
◗ ◗ TAI X-PRESS. This stand-alone communication application trans-
mits electronic reinsurance reporting and claims information from
insurance companies to reinsurers and reinsurers to retrocession-
naires using secure https transfers.Th e software is a sender package
that builds a package of files to be sent to each reinsurer using a
combination of jpg, pdf, doc, xls and XML data files. Although indi-
vidual communications are sent, the software assembles multiple
files in one process. It provides life companies one transfer method,
logs transmissions, and eliminates postage and transportation costs,
alleviating the reinsurers from accessing client-maintained web sites
and the security liability of client-specific passwords. TAI X-press is
designed to send data quickly and cost effectively.
