Generali USA Life Reassurance Company
(Generali USA) is proud to be recognized

Generali USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A., which
is one of the largest, most stable insurance
companies in the world today. Assicurazioni
Generali is headquartered in Trieste, Italy, and
has been ranked 34th on the Fortune Global
500 list (2008). Generali owns 175 different
insurance and financial services companies
worldwide, including Generali USA.
Company had enough reinsurance business
to establish an entire reinsurance division.
Over the next 50 years, they continued to
grow and refine their offerings, adding a
wide variety of insurance products to their
portfolio, including mainstream life and annuity programs. In 1990, they were acquired
by Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (Generali).
In 2003, Generali exited the U.S. direct insurance marketplace to focus its attention
on BMA’s core reinsurance operation. The
newly formed company became known as
Generali USA.
Today, Generali USA continues to operate
as a wholly owned subsidiary of Assicurazioni
Generali. It is licensed or accredited for reinsurance in all 50 states. And just like in 1928,
we still work with each customer individually to solve their financial challenges. We are
proud of our 80-year history of providing reinsurance to the many businesses that rely on
us for our stability and financial strength.

Company History
The Generali USA Life Reassurance Company originally started out as the Business
Men’s Assurance Company of America
(BMA), which began selling life insurance
in 1920 under founder W. T. Grant. By 1928,
native Kansan Grant had foreseen the great
need for reinsurance in his industry, and sold
his first reinsurance policy.
